In the dark sunlit woods abound;
Burning in the furnace;
The souls seen lighting up the Altar.
Rummaging through the barren springs, found;
Smoothened out shriveled flowers;
The souls being offered at the Altar.
The air thick with incense mounds;
Heaps of breaths dipped in essence;
The souls busy, scenting the Altar.
From the echoes of the lost sound,
Notes played in perfect cacophony,
The souls quietly sing to the Altar.
I stand alone, the world beyond,
With no soul and no altar,
With no questions and no answers,
A moment embracing ETERNITY.
Burning in the furnace;
The souls seen lighting up the Altar.
Rummaging through the barren springs, found;
Smoothened out shriveled flowers;
The souls being offered at the Altar.
The air thick with incense mounds;
Heaps of breaths dipped in essence;
The souls busy, scenting the Altar.
From the echoes of the lost sound,
Notes played in perfect cacophony,
The souls quietly sing to the Altar.
I stand alone, the world beyond,
With no soul and no altar,
With no questions and no answers,
A moment embracing ETERNITY.

Just coming in to your blog. This poem is so beautiful. So glad that I came in today to read... Kayce
seeing

tasting
nothing
...
nothing
but
you
beautiful...
that sense of detachment from the world is shown impressively in the last stanza: alone... beyond... no... no... no... no...
I dont know what your feeling was when you wrote the poem. To me, every stanza that I passed by represented a step up the ladder to your eternity experience.
You have been tagged!
k.c : thanx :-)
human: its not just the detachment but a moment which can stand for ur life as ur life where u r achieve the supreme knowledge, where u get to understand urself, that moment where every thing becomes clear, the clarity of being, and being in this world.
manpreet : not really, u may or may not need any steps, interestingly all the steps in themselves r complete enough to take u to the experience that i call eternity but that experience might not be so for one still would be bound in a system, we would be costructing ourselves not understanding ourselves, this knowledge of the self is beyond all instituitional experience.
s.m.a.r.t: hey thanx for stopping by, bt m so sorry, i dont have the slightest clue as to wat tagging is all about.
hmmmmm
yes exactly... and that supreme knowledge is a pre-requisite for that detachment, eh?
without that knowledge who dares!
OM, i love the depth of your poems... they are very sublime...
Saw your comments that you left and you made me feel so great this morning...
Also saw in your profile that you have read Atlas Shrugged. Have been putting off reading it for... no real reason.. I have got to read it I hear... Was it as great as I hear? Kayce
first, the imagery is fantabulous, dark as well as glowing.
second, the gradual flowering of the verse, from sight to sound, through touch and smell, not only feels as an individual's experience, but of the whole human race
third, i kind of relate it to the theory of 'moksha'. wherein, u r just u, u r not a soul, nor light, not anything that can be defined, just u.
perhaps, u should read the account of 'Vishnu's first opening of eyes' when He said, "I Am".
Just coming back in.. Got myself back together.. Wanting to let you know how grateful I am again for your thoughts...
Reread your poetry... several times.. so beautiful.. Kayce
Wow! there are so many good young writers in this world...
You transpire your thoughts beautifully to others and it has immense depth...
