BEING HUMAN!

I burst the blisters that cling to my flesh,
To dye the blood, with my frozen hands;
My cracked heels, thawing toes, perform,
A strange barter, between me and sands.

Together we grow, Together we suffer,
Finding our way, through times untold;
Moving past mirages, searching for oasis,
That exists, for we believe, will unfold.

I wouldn’t reach, the desired place,
I was desert, Desert was me;
I still fought on, shifting landscapes,
Churning constantly the cosmic sea.

I knew, the oasis was within me, yet,
Centuries of time to seek and strain;
Becoming the oasis, drop by drop,
Let go the desert, grain by grain.

The eternal moment on the vortex stands,
As the epochs ripple along with lands;
Yet I know, I will transform,
Renouncing the oasis, revealing the sands.

Nah,
The oasis remains and it never goes. Sands can never overpower Oases.

i think u need to look at the last two paras again.
and as for the poem, as right now i'm telling u on the phone, these poems have begin to hit me in the first reading themselves.
if i were the oasis, am turning into a desert; if i were a desert, then i'm realising that i always was; and dreams are turning into distant mirages.

vi: perhaps.

Adi and Mampi: oasis is because of the sands, there will nvr be an oasis if sands dont exist. my theme of this poem was the eternal transformation, the all powerful change, the idvinity which is an oasis for there is the human, human is the desert which holds within itself what is divine,the divinity is becoz of the humanness(with all its follies and flaws, thrfor, they r the desert), desert leads to divine, and divine will exist only because there is human, so human is the harbinger of the divine and i celebrate the human.

Thanks OcMi. I interpreted it differently.

'revealing the sands'...
yes this is being human...

the imagery is so powerful and in line with the theme... through the poem we come to know the value of sands... of being human...
